Sexes of the Black-eared Kite, also called the Black Kite, look the same. It is a summer visitor to Ladakh.

Incredibly adaptable bird – living, diet, behaviour. From fishing along streams, to urban dumps. From insects, to food scraps, to small mammals. From nesting on cliffs to urban areas, to trees. And wide range of elevations.

It can be spotted around larger human settlements, opens steppes & valley bottoms up to 4500 m.
